Project workshop#2: Lac au Duc

The appointment is made: on June 7th and 8th, 2018, all Channel Payments for Ecosystem Services partners will gather for a mid-term seminar, in the amphitheater of the Lycée La Mennais in Ploërmel. The pilot site of Lac au Duc and its watershed is the first to host this event, which will take place in each of the six pilot sites every 6 months and the 2nd project meeting.

The opportunity is perfect for the coordinator of the Communication Work Package. The site hosts the first of six seminars, at a key moment in the project's rise. Indeed, at the heart of the discussions will be the key elements of the project: analyzes of local contexts and methodologies related to the implementation of Payments for Ecosystem Services.

Half-day open to local actors

The morning of Thursday, June 7th is dedicated to the presentations of the pilot sites, in a vision of their local progress. Local elected officials, partners of the site and beyond, all persons interested in the subject are invited to this morning to inform and meet the partners of the cooperation.

A reflection on the methodology

The half of 2018 is a key step in the progress of the CPES project. The PES implementation test requires a reflection on the tools, knowledge and means available and to be created to make the device effective. Thanks to Thursday morning's exchanges, the next two half-days will focus on the methods as well as the administrative and structural aspects of the project.

An in-situ visit

This seminar could not be closed without a discovery of the Lac au Duc site. An exit is scheduled on Friday afternoon to see the issues on the ground.
