Users of Lac au Duc are surveyed until December

Within Channel Payments for Ecosystem Services project, a research project is led by INRA's SMART LERECO unit of Rennes, in partnership with the Syndicat Mixte du Grand Bassin de l’Oust, to survey the inhabitants of the surroundings of the Lac au Duc. The goal is to gather opinions about the lake and know better the habits and frequent uses.

The Lac au Duc is a pole of attraction for the inhabitants of Ploërmel area and for the tourists, thanks to many activities available: water sports, bathing, restaurants, walks, angling, etc. The lac au Duc is also used for drinkable water production.
The problems caused by eutrophication and cyanobacterias impact these activities. From september to december 2018, pollsters will meet the people on a 30km perimeter around the Lake, to survey them during public events, markets or simply in the streets.
